Retail Expansion Continues in Summerlin Nevada

Summerlin’s growing population has delighted the retailers who account for more than 1.5 million square feet of space in the Summerlin master-planned community. Kevin Orrock, executive vice president of The Howard Hughes Corp. (developer of Summerlin) said retail development is planned for years to come. “Within the next few years, retail space in Summerlin is expected to double,” he said. Summerlin real estate continues to grow at a rapid rate….commercial as well as residential! These are some of the most beautiful Las Vegas homes in the entire valley.

Las Vegas Local and NASCAR Rookie Kyle Busch Gives Back

Kyle Busch is a Las Vegas local and a member of the Durango High School class of 2002. He is also an impressive rookie race car driver on the NASCAR Nextel Cup circuit and his older brother (Kurt) is the reigning NASCAR champion. But on Thursday of this week Kyle was on hand at Spring Valley High School to give safe driving advice to impressionable teens. Kyle’s words of wisdom? Street racing is stupid and dangerous, don’t ever drink and drive, cellular phones are a dangerous distraction, and focusing on the stereo instead of the road is not recommended. Las Vegas Homes: Our Median Price vs The National Median

According to the National Association of Realtors, the median price of an existing single-family home was $189,000 in January, up from $171,000 a year earlier. The median price of a re-sale Las Vegas home was $250,000 in January, up from $183,000 a year earlier. Real estate in Las Vegas has consistently out-performed over the past 12 months.
