The Las Vegas Gladiators are in first place in the Western Division midway through the AFL season. Las Vegas (5-3) leads Los Angeles and defending champion San Jose, each at 4-3. The Gladiators host San Jose in a Monday night game March 28. The Las Vegas Gladiators defeated the Arizona Rattlers 66-63 in front of 11,300 AFL fans at the America West Arena in Phoenix and captured the number one spot.
