One month before Steve Wynn makes his comeback on the Las Vegas Strip with Wynn Las Vegas, plans are already being made for a second high-end resort development. The new Encore resort is intended to be the most luxurious hotel in Las Vegas. Each Encore suite will contain a separate living room and bedroom in a sprawling 1,030 square-foot layout. At 230 square feet, the bathrooms alone are roughly the size of many New York hotel rooms. Other amenities for Encore will include restaurants, convention and meeting space, high-end retail, a spa-salon and entertainment venues. The incredible rise in the value of Las Vegas real estate on the strip played a significant role in the decision to move forward with this second casino resort according to company officials. Wynn Las Vegas, the Strip’s first new resort in five years, will open with 2,716 rooms and suites, 111,000 square feet of casino space, 18 restaurants, about 223,000 square feet of meeting space and other amenities, including an on-site Ferrari and Maserati dealership.
